Scorpius is identified as a Sebacean-Scarran hybrid, a unique biological combination that fuels his singular drive to acquire the repository of wormhole knowledge stored in John Crichton's brain. Toward the end of season one, this hunt begins after Crichton encounters The Ancients, who implant the information to guide him home. Early in season two, Scorpius successfully implants a neural chip into Crichton's head. This device creates hallucinations of a "neural clone" named Harvey, whom Crichton uses to influence his behavior and extract the hidden data. As the series progresses, the chip takes complete control over Crichton at the end of season two, resulting in a mixed personality with extremely dark humor that transmits a message directly to Scorpius. Although the chip is eventually removed, it is stolen by Scorpius, yet Harvey remains in Crichton's mind as a persistent hallucination.

Due to the clone's longer presence and increased familiarity with Crichton, Harvey reacts through persuasion and appeals to sympathy rather than threats, yet Crichton still agrees to allow Scorpius to perform the procedure. This interaction highlights the complex psychological dynamic between the hunter and his prey. Later, during the Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars mini-series, after Crichton uses his wormhole knowledge to force a peace treaty between the warring Peacekeepers and Scarrans, the wormhole knowledge in his brain is finally removed by Einstein the Ancient. This event marks the culmination of Scorpius's long-running campaign, as the specific intelligence he sought is extracted and neutralized.
